InkSight 2035 Community Project Showcase

The InkSight 2035 Community Project looks ahead to 2035 — a milestone year marking UOB’s centennial anniversary — by uniting six alumni winners of the UOB Art in Ink Awards with local secondary school students. Through a series of workshops and community explorations, students were inspired to envision the community of 2035 through ink art. 60 original artworks — each reflecting the creativity and aspirations of the next generation — symbolise the spirit of collaboration and shared progress between UOB and the wider community.

InkScribble Hub

Artists convey emotions and create rich textures through diverse brushstrokes and techniques. At the InkScribble Hub, visitors can explore video demonstrations of four distinctive ink painting techniques used in this year’s winning artworks. With tools provided on-site, visitors are encouraged to experiment with this time-honoured art form firsthand, gaining a fresh perspective on both the showcased winning artworks and the enduring beauty of ink art.

Charity Sale

UOB Art Academy presents a series of items inspired by the winning artworks at the UOB Art in Ink Awards. All items are limited. All proceeds will go to the “Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po”, established by the Hong Kong SAR Government to provide emergency relief and restoration assistance to families and individuals affected by the Tai Po fire.

Building the Future Urban Art Terrace

Immerse yourself in a world of ink and “assemble” your own future at the terrace! This immersive installation features five oversized Rubik’s cubes, each reimagined as a vibrant, multi-faceted showcase displaying 60 ink artworks created by local secondary students. Inspired by the iconic puzzle’s colourful geometry and intricate structure, every cube symbolises diversity and interconnectedness, with each face presenting a unique vision of Hong Kong’s communities as they might flourish in 2035 — a milestone year marking UOB’s centenary.

Designed as interactive art furniture, these cubes invite visitors to sit, relax and reflect while appreciating the many “faces” of creativity and possibility. Like the Rubik’s Cube, which represents complexity and harmony, the terrace celebrates community diversity and forward-thinking ideas, fostering connection, dialogue and inspiration. It stands as a testament to UOB’s commitment to sustainable social development and cultural inclusivity.
